Adjusting volume within a reasonable range (e.g., 0% to 200%) usually doesn't damage quality. However, excessive gain can cause digital clipping. Monitor the waveform to ensure peaks aren't 'flattened'.

'Apply Volume' recalculates the audio data and waveform based on the current gain. This lets you see the physical change in amplitude and continue editing on the new data.

If the original audio is already loud, adding gain can easily cause clipping. Try small increments or use 'Reset' to restore the original at any time.
